My Vintage Linen Collection 🖤

Over my time on the hedge, I’ve gathered a collection of vintage hand-embroidered linens. Each one found me, not the other way around. And I have a deep connection with every stitch.

These aren’t just pretty cloths. In Cottage Witch and Hearth Witch work, pieces like these are valued for the human touch woven right into them. Every flower, every knot, holds intent from the hands that made it. You can feel it.

How I use them:
🕯️ Altar cloths — a dedicated, beautiful base for ritual tools and offerings
🔮 Tarot mats — smaller tea towels and tray cloths make soft, sacred surfaces for cards
🧵 Spell cloths — the act of embroidery itself is fiber magic. Intentions are stitched in, spell by spell
🌸 Sacred space — hung as tapestries or draped in meditation corners to ground a room and make it home

The magic in the threads:
The floral motifs aren’t just decoration — they’re correspondences.
Poppies for sleep, meditation, dream work. Old folklore says scattering poppy seeds confuses negative spirits.
Daisies for happiness, new beginnings, protection.
And the lacework borders? That’s knot magic. Energy bound and trapped in intricate patterns to guard the hearth.
